Educate a woman from the ABATAKA group!
According to a UNAIDS report, in Zambia, rural women with no education are twice as likely to be living in extreme poverty as those who have benefited from eight or more years of education. Female literacy rates fall far behind those of males (71.3% as opposed to 85.6%). School life expectancy for females is only 7 years.
You can provide a grade of education for a woman for as little as $225.00. This covers class fees, books and education. You scholarship donation is also tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
We currently have 30 women in the ABATAKA program. Your gift will help change the lives of these women. We would be happy to share the name of your student with you, as well as progress reports as she continues her education. Thank you for your support.
